Uh-oh!

Day 163/Year 2

I spent the day at the Emergency Room with my mother. Don't worry......she's home now and she's doing fine. Yesterday we went to the dermatologist to have a skin cancer removed from her leg. I think it was bigger and deeper than the Doc thought it would be. Mom takes Coumadin (a blood thinning medication). The Doc said no worries......she'll be fine.

Well, she wasn't fine.......had a post op bleed first thing this morning when she got out of bed. So glad they are living in their new place. She pulled the help cord, and 2 people were there in an instant! I got a call at 7 am from the staff RN telling me she was being transported by ambulance to the ER.

She's home now, keeping her foot elevated as much as possible. Visiting Nurses will come in each day to change the bandage and monitor the wound.

That was my day! Sorry for the stupid picture, but sometimes you gotta take what you can get. :-)
