Day 101/Year 2
What a wonderful opportunity I had today!!! My friend and coworker Kathy F invited Diane and I to her house to photograph this hummingbird, who is nesting in a tree just feet away from her backyard deck.
It is amazing that Kathy spotted this nest in the first place. It's very small, and it blends in so well with the tree and surroundings. It actually looks like a knot in the tree.
We had a lovely visit on Kathy's deck and enjoyed her lovely woodsy backyard. The mother left the nest a few times during our visit, but she came back each time in a matter of minutes. She is beautiful, isn't she??? I'm looking forward to the babies being born!
