It's all about the light

One of the very first things we learn when taking up photography is the importance of light. The play of warm late day light hitting the bottom of this tree trunk and some of the lower greenery, turned this ho-hum scene into a very pleasing subject to photograph. On any other occasion, I would have passed this by, but the light just drew me to photograph it this evening.
