These three hens (I think they are Golden Comets) were just hanging out in the barn at The Neal Perry Farm in Orleans VT. Golden Comets are excellent layers of brown eggs. Most of the country consumes white eggs.......but not here in New England. We know that "brown eggs are local eggs and local eggs are fresh."

Oh, this photo gives a friendly, farm feel! Love the 2 settled 'matrons' overlooked by the younger biddie. Super composition and use of natural and reflected golden light on the birds against the blue, milk painted wall boards. Nice, Carol ~ ~
ReplyDeleteI love your description Cynthia. Thank you so much. This is actually one of my recent favorites, and I'm going to print it for myself.
DeleteLove this on Carol!! It needs to be hanging in my kitchen along with all my other roosters and chickens!
ReplyDeleteI'll print you one Nancy.
