Nesting Bald Eagle Pair

I went down to check out the nesting bald eagles the other day. Here is Mama sitting on the nest.

Dad was not around for the first hour or so that I was there, but he eventually came by.

He landed on this branch beside the nest.

After a while, Mama jumped out of the nest and landed on a branch under Dad. It was amazing to see and hear them communicating with one another. They were both very vocal for a minute or two. I would have loved to have known what they were saying to each other. You can see the nest on the left side of this image.

Shortly after this, Mama took off and Dad jumped into the nest.

This is such a cool thing for a nature nerd to witness. I'm looking forward to seeing the eaglet or eaglets when they get big enough to be seen.
