I've recently been taking some macro shots with the Tamron 90 mm macro lens. I've had this lens for a few years and have never really gotten the shots that I've been wanting. I recently had a tutorial visit with my good friend and very talented photographer Rosemary, and she has really helped me to improve my macro work using a variety of beautifully fresh picked Dahlias.
I learned that the secret was to manually focus the shots.
Here's the first macro water shot that I nailed. I'm not ashamed to say I think I actually squealed out loud when I saw it on the back of my camera. :-) I love the reflection in the water drop.
A few more shots:
Excellent work, Carol.
ReplyDeleteCool! The in-focus areas really bring your attention there. I hope to see more of these from you. The colors are lovely; you're really good with these kinds of shots.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful images, Carol. I think you've inspired me to grow some next year...The water drop is awesome!
