Easter Basket

The Easter Bunny arrived a little bit early to my house, and left some Easter "treats" for my backyard friends!

              The Specs:
Nikon D90, 18-200 mm lens, 1/640, f6.3
Added a white vignette in post to give a soft Easter feel to the photos.

This little guy was so funny! He would come up to the basket, grab a nut, and he would take off with it, and then come back for another. Upon returning home this afternoon, I discovered the basket is now empty!

  2. Thanks Nancy,
The lighting was harsh, but I had to shoot when the visitors came for their treats. It was a lot of fun, and I didn't get much done around the house today except sit on a stool by the kitchen window with the camera ready to catch the action! :-)

  7. OMIGOD! The squirrels must have thought they hit the mother lode!!! :-)

Seriously, you have to RATION the peanuts with the squirrels or they will eat you out of house and home. (I only put a handful out for them as a treat, in addition to sunflower seed, cracked corn and corn on the cob, and we've also got them trained to take a nut from our hands. This cracked me up! IF the squirrels in our yard found out, they would head down your way for sure!! :-D

    The first pic is PRECIOUS!

  8. **SMILE** I had the basket stuffed with 2 Yankee Jarred candles for weight. I then covered the candles with paper towels and on TOP of the paper towels is where the nuts were. So technicslly, it was not a full basket at all...just the top of the basket had the peanuts! It sounds like your squirrels are much more spoiled than mine are. :-)

  12. Thanks Sharlene! There's some tough lighting there I was working against, so although not magazine quality, it still was fun! :-) Glad you liked it! Thanks!
