Fashion-ista!!!!!!!

144/365
This is my friend and co-worker, Kathy. She is known for her coordinating outfits, and she always looks top notch. She wouldn't be caught without her lipstick either,  by the way! (very big wink) :-) Kathy arrived to work this morning, and I immediately noticed that her reading glasses matched her blouse.

Yup, sure looked like a perfect match to me. I just knew that she was meant to be today's photo of the day. With just a little bit of prodding (big grin), Kathy along with her matching attire, agreed to be today's photo. It wasn't easy to get her to sit still and not to giggle as I snapped a few photos, but we somehow managed. :)
Here she is at her desk. Well, we call them desks, but as you can see, it is more or less a countertop with a computer workstation. My desk in the Diet Office is right beside hers. Perhaps some day in the dark dull winter, I will use my workspace as a photo of the day. In the meantime, here she is:

Thanks a bunch Kathy for being such a good sport. You looked Maaaaaaaavelous today!!! (As you ALWAYS do) ;-)

Pears

143/365
There were a lot of delicious fresh fruits and veggies at the farm today. I gave these pears a little Photoshop treatment to help bring out more "character" shall we call it.....and I was pretty happy with the result. I hope you like them too!

The Birthday Boys

Jay and his very good friend Gregory both turned 18 years old today! Greg spent the night at our house last night, while a surprise party was being put together for today at Greg's house. It was a fun time today.......and Jay really enjoyed it...........until it was time for the birthday boys to get thrown into the pool.......fully clothed. The good news is the kids made sure their wallets and cell phones etc were emptied from their pockets, before they picked them up and literally carried them to the pool to face the inevitable. :-)
One final push...........

And he was a goner:

Wow, it's your 18th birthday. In most parts of the world, you are now regarded as an adult. Flaunt your driving license, and exercise your right to vote. But, as Peter Parker said in Spiderman, "With great power, comes great responsibility." So exercise your freedom with maturity.

What's behind the dunes?

141/365
A BEAUTIFUL day at Nantasket Beach in Hull today. I had the folks with me.....we found a couple of hidden off the beaten path handicap parking spots down by the residential area of the beach. It's much quieter down that end as well. I also really like the dunes and fence lined paths down that end.....they make for some nice photo compositions.

The Enchanted Forest

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Carol with a friend named Nancy I. Carol was excited because there were some late afternoon thundershowers. She was hoping that the Enchanted Forest would turn magical, which it sometimes does after summer thunderstorms. She invited Nancy I to come along on this trip to the Enchanted Forest.
Nancy I was so excited to see all of the magic! She had never seen the forest look so beautiful!!

The magic also brought some of the beautiful wildlife out of hiding.........even the youngsters came out to play!!!!!

But of course, Mama was not far behind!!

Street Scene

138/365
Not feeling well today. Knowing I would not feel like getting out shooting today, I took this shot when I went to the pharmacy to fill a prescription. Do you see the stone square on the front lefthand side of the shot? Well, that is the base for a clock tower that is going to be put up in this little center of my hometown. I will take a shot of the clocktower after it's built to show you.
