Sunflowers always end up facing the sun, but they go through a lot of dirt to find their way there."

Tangerini's Farm Millis MA

If you're a regular follower of this blog, you may remember previous blog posts written about Tangerini's Farm in Millis MA. Each Summer I always make a few trips to this beautiful farm. Typically I go with Miss J and the three grandkids to pick sunflowers. This week the first sunflower field was closed, and the second field wasn't open yet, so we switched to plan B and picked flowers from the garden. For ten dollars you are given a large mason jar to fill with whatever flowers you choose.

Off they go to pick their flowers:

Ryleigh is my oldest grandchild and she's my favorite model. She always cooperates to give me a good photo.

This photo was taken by Miss J. She took this photo of Ryleigh and you can see me in the background shooting pictures of the kids with my long lens.

We had lunch at the "Farmers Table" located at the farm. The menu is excellent and the food is all farm fresh from the farm or sourced locally. Miss J and I split the hummus with fresh veggie platter. The hummus is made fresh on the farm. It's delicious.

We also each got a raspberry lime rickey to drink. It is so refreshing and is served in a large jar.

A few photos taken in the farm stand:

May try to return again next week to pick sunflowers if time allows!
