Hill Farmstead Brewery, Greensboro VT

We had a fantastic family weekend in Vermont, despite the ten below zero temperature, and wind chill of almost 30 degrees below zero. We cancelled all of our outdoor activities due to the weather, but we were able to make our visit to the Farmstead Brewery as planned.

This brewery is operated by Shawn Hill, located high up on a hilltop on the location of his grandfather's old dairy farm. What a beautiful location this is!

The retail operation has recently expanded with a large new room equipped with a bar for taste testing, a few tables for seating, and a really great atmosphere. We waited approximately 40 minutes to get waited on, which isn't too bad of a wait time. My favorite beer was "Edward". I found it to be smooth with not too much of a "hoppy" flavor, and came home with a few growlers of it. I will certainly return on my next visit to VT to get the growlers refilled.

This brewery was rated "Best Bewery In The World" by Ratebeer.com. I hope you can make a visit here yourself to find out why. You won't be disappointed!

  1. Glad to see you back, Carol. That was a nice visit to the brewery & learn about its being re-purposed from a dairy farm.
