Long Pond, Westmore VT

Continuing on with the pond and lake images from this Fall in VT.......here are a few images taken at Long Pond in Westmore VT. Again, the colors were peak and beautiful.

This is a panorama made from a series of images that were stitched together in Lightroom.

One more image of the beautiful Fall colors and reflections at the pond.

  1. Nice work with this pano, Carol. Were these shot taken the day we were at Long Pond? I stopped there three times while I was in Vermont and the time I was there with you was the only time the water surface was even remotely calm.

  2. Yes Kerry. These were shot the day I was with you. I also went back on another day, and the reflections weren't there.

  3. My sense (correct me if I'm wrong) is that Long Pond is HIGHLY susceptible to wind. Both of the times I was there when there were no reflections to speak of (pretty early in the morning on both occasions) it was almost windless everywhere else I went that day.
