Island Pond VT

The Fall colors in Island Pond VT were spectacular this year (as were the colors in the entire NEK) I visited this area on two different days during my photography trip a few weeks ago.

This is the village of Island Pond with it's three church steeples proudly pointing upward. This was taken during mid to late afternoon on a sunny day.

Some road side colors that were taken on a rainy day.

  3. Totally agree, the color in and around Island Pond was exceptional and it hung around seemingly forever. I was up there on the first full day I was in Vermont (Oct. 1) and again on the morning and early afternoon of the day I transitioned from Vermont to New Hampshire (Oct. 5); overcast conditions both times. If anything, I think the color may have actually been better, somehow, on Oct. 5...and it was at peak on Oct. 1.

Really like that shot of Island Pond. If I may ask, what was your shooting location for that image?
