Day 65

Simplicity and elegance......I love pink.

Day 66/365

A few weeks ago I went to Stonybrook Wildlife Sanctuary in Norfolk MA for a walk through nature and also to take some photos. The frog from the other day's blog post was taken that day. Here's another image I took that day of a Great Blue Heron in it's environment. Love the Spring colors.

We are getting some much needed rain right now in Southern New England. I hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Making Remembrances

Day 63/365

I took the "Mother" Flower arrangement home from the Funeral. My Sister In Law wanted me to "work my magic" on the flowers and create something that would last forever. I had just a little time today to "play" with some of the flowers. I hope my Sister In Law is happy with what I have created so far.

Erin and David Coonamessett Inn Wedding

Day 58/365
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing a very large wedding down the Cape.......Erin, the bride is the daughter of my cousin George......so it was an honor to be asked to shoot a family members wedding.
I was accompanied by my good friend and fellow photographer Diane Gulla......and I never could have done this without her by my side.
This is just a little preview of photos to come. Erin knows and understands that I have been very busy with family issues over the past few weeks.......and I have not had time to go through or process all of the wedding images yet........but here is a sample of some of the moments we caught during the first half of her beautiful wedding day.

At the house getting ready....

On their way....

Beautiful Erin and handsome David

We went to Nobska Lighthouse to take pictures before the ceremony.

The wedding party was huge!!! They were all great and so much fun to shoot.

It was such a beautiful day for a wedding

Here is one of the images taken by Diane:

They are such a beautiful couple

My Dear Mother In Law

Day 57/365

It has been a rough couple of weeks for my Mother In Law, and today she is finally at peace. We have all been by her bedside ......family has flown in from all around the country.......and the tears, love and memories that we have all shared together are times that we can treasure forever.

I shot this image two weeks ago of Mr S holding his mothers hand.

She will be missed, but we are happy that she is "home" now and no longer in pain or suffering. I am so blessed to have been loved by this wonderful woman.

Great Blue Heron Weymouth MA

Day 52/365

I've been spending a lot of time at the nursing home with my Mother In Law. Before I headed there yesterday, I stopped to take some nature photos and had a very peaceful relaxing few hours, which were needed, and it felt good to just be out there in nature with my camera.

Today I am heading out shortly to to take my Dad out, and then back up to the Nursing Home to spend time with my Mother In Law. Happy Friday. I hope you have a great weekend!!

Rudy and a beach fence

Days 50 and 51/365

The last time Rudy appeared on the blog he was suffering from seasonal allergies. I'm happy to report that he was put on a new miracle allergy medication for dogs and he is feeling so much happier!

There were reports last week of whale sightings off Duxbury Beach so I went down one afternoon last week.......but saw no whales. Here's a beach fence instead.

Ornamental Pear Trees

Day 48/365

Sorry for my absence the past few days. Just been super busy and spending some quality time with family who have come in from out of state. Also. I shot a wonderful wedding down the Cape this past weekend and I am just beginning to go through and process the wedding images.

Here is a street in Hanover MA lined with ornamental pear trees. It is such a beautiful sight to behold this time of year. I only wish the beauty lasted more than a fleeting few days!!!!

Here is day 49/365

More time visiting the Abington Swans!

More catching up will come tomorrow......

Happy Mother's Day

Day 47/365

A bittersweet day for me today. Can you believe it was one year ago today that I broke my arm? Yup, May 10!! It was a Friday last year, and two days after  that was Mother's Day......my first Mother's Day without my Mom. It is all a blur to me........

This year I am blessed to be at my Mother In Laws bedside to celebrate Mother's Day. She is actually having a pretty darn good day today......and we are truly blessed and thankful for that!!!!!!

I know I'm 2 days behind on my blog posts......been super busy but will make up for it when I can!

Happy Mother's Day !

Cat O Nine Tails

Days 46 and 47/365

Think I'm a day behind, so posting two pictures here to catch up.

I went to the Estuary in Weymouth the other evening and had better luck shooting people than I did with the wildlife. But I am pretty happy with these so want to share them on the blog.

Really like this moment that I caught of my friends Patti and Phil.

Island Grove Abington MA

Day 45/365

Visited the nesting swans today. Mama was on the nest and I caught her standing up tending to the eggs!

Dad was out for a swim. The pond was still and there were some beautiful reflections in the water. I waited hoping he would swim out towards the bridge and my waiting paid off. With photography we can visualize what we want the shot to look like. Sometimes if we wait it out, we can get what we visualize and it's an awesome feeling.

Days 43 and 44/365

Two days in one post again. Sorry for not posting yesterday!
So Summer temperatures have arrived here in Southern New England today. What a beautiful day!!!!

And here is yesterday's photo. A beautiful Mourning Dove on my back deck.

Really like the forsythia backdrop on this one.
