2014 was a difficult year for me and my family. But it also was a year of great happiness and blessings.
January began with a huge Nor'Easter here in Southern New England.
Here's an image I made when I was feeling sad and kind of hopeless. Both of my parents were very sick and my Mom was not doing well at all. I turned to my photography for inspiration.
Losing my Mother was a very sad and difficult time, but the hardest part was seeing my Dad hold onto hope and then losing the love of his life.
From here, my photography kind of took a nose dive. I took less photo this year than I have since this blog began.
March brought the celebration of St Patrick's Day which would not be complete without this little red headed Irish Lassie:
The happiest moment of 2014 was celebrating the marriage of our oldest son N and Melissa. I love this picture of my boys
And what Mother doesn't snap a few pictures in the church using her point and shoot? HA!
We took our annual Vermont trip for the maple sugaring season:
April brought just a few family photos.
May started off really well, and I was looking forward to getting back outdoors again with my camera and sparking my photography passion, which had taken a bit of a hiatus.
And then this happened:
From here, spent most of my time on the recliner in the living room. :-) And then lots of physical therapy.
The first picture I took since the fracture was pretty symbolic. Went almost three months without shooting to taking a rainbow image with my point and shoot! It was a happy day!
Ryleigh turned one in August. These were the first pictures taken with the Nikon in over three months,
A September sunset from a photography outing to Web Park (still just using the point and shoot)
Finally got my photography mojo back in the Fall of 2014.
The year ended with a mini photo shoot out in the backyard with Ryleigh.
Thank you to all of the viewers for sharing another year with me here on the blog. My hope and "resoluton" is to get out shooting more in the year 2015 and to get back to more regular posting here on the blog.
I wish you and your families a very happy, blessed, healthy 2015 and may this crazy world we are living in find peace and harmony.
Happy shooting my friends!!!!!!
