The Berkshires in Western MA

Mr. S and I left the house at 5:30 this morning. Destination: North Adams MA. If you recall, one of my goals for year 2 of the blog was to photograph in Western MA. I'm happy I made that goal today! Along the way we stopped several times to take photos, and also stopped to hike into a waterfall. More on that another time. The Berkshires are peaking. The colors are fantastic. Lots of reds! Ths image almost looks fake to me, but honesty, this was the color of the reds. Jaw dropping!
We went up to the summit of Mt. Greylock for sunset. Unfortunately, cloud cover came in about an hour before sunset, so we didn't have any golden light to work with. I was happy with my images nonetheless. here's one of them:

We had a delicious dinner after sunset. I'm beat. Good night!!

  4. Hi Mary,
The hotel was perfect. There is a lot of remodeling going on, but it didn't interfere with our stay. I loved the view!!!! Got some great shots! We ate lunch at "The Hub" in Downtown N. Adams...it was delicious. We had a fantastic dinner at the 6 House Pub in Williamstown (I think that's where it was) It's right along route 2. I LOVED the atmosphere......so nucel decorated with antiques and period furnishings, fireplace etc., and the food was outstanding. I had filet mignon with bordelais sauce.....perfection!!! Can't wait to see you next week!!!
