The Phlox Are Creeping Along!

46/365
Well, looks like we have some more pink today, but this time it has a hint of purple! I just love the look of creeping phlox along rock gardens and garden borders. These tiny little guys are so pretty!
The Specs:
Nikon D90, 18-200 mm lens, ISO 800, 1/250, f16, -1 ev, border and subtle white vignette added in post

I just have to edit this post because another photo op presented itself to me tonight just before sunset. We had some thunderstorms roll through and the sky was just beginning to clear as the sun was setting. This is the result taken in my backyard.
And look!!!!!! There's even some PINK in this shot! ;-)

  1. I thought of a great bumper sticker (see below) we could put on my car as we drive aimlessly around VT on our road trip in October. Geezum: I can't get this color out of my mind now! Thanks alot Carol!!! And my screen doesn't show any hints of purple either!

    "GOT PINK?" :)

P.S. I always wondered what the name of those flowers were. I think I'll get some for my own yard! They are adorable!

  2. "Got Pink" would be perfect! Yes, you should get some for your garden. They are a really pretty ground cover. They like the sun by the way so be careful where you plant them.

  6. Yes Erin, I did catch that gorgeous rainbow. I'm surprised you didn't see me out in the driveway taking the picutres. I actually have another really good one of the rainbow arching over the roof of your house. I'll send it to you! It actually is a double rainbow too!! Woo-hoo!!!

  8. Thanks Nancy and please thank Mr. I for thinking of me! I caught it by luck as I went out to the kitchen and what first caught my eye was the unusual lighting in the sky. I grabbed the camera and headed outdoors and the rainbow literally appeared right before my eyes! It sure was beautiful. Glad you guys saw it too!
